Services

What's the difference between coaching and therapy? I bring my executive leadership experience and psychotherapy training into my work, regardless of how we label it. But there are some important differences between both services:

Leadership Coaching

People often seek a coach when they are facing a uniquely difficult professional challenge. I specialize in helping leaders through paradigm shifts, relational conflicts, and re-defining themselves and their organization after a big change or loss.

As your coach, we'll agree on goals and a time frame for our work - usually 3-6 months. We'll meet 1-2 times a week, and depending on your needs, I might observe you in action, conduct a 360-degree review, or offer feedback or drafting of strategic work.

Coaching is usually covered in an organization's budget, and while I focus on all aspects of your leadership, our emphasis will be on  your professional outcomes.

Therapy

If you are struggling with difficult emotions, situations, or looking to make a change in your life, you may find therapy offers a chance to build the life you want.

"Gestalt' means "whole", and my Gestalt training focuses on exploring each part of yourself, and finding space for all of you. We will also explore, at your rate of tolerance, how the body and brain interact.

I am licensed to see therapy clients who live in New York state. Most of my clients lead intense lives, and juggle significant work and personal responsibilities. Many come to therapy after focusing heavily on one aspect of their life, and realize that other aspects of their life need attention.
